Yamaha YAS-875EX Custom Eb Alto Saxophone

The YAS-875EX provides lesser resistance and increased projection for professional saxophone players. New ergonomic improvements of this Yamaha Custom alto saxophone improve the overall playability along with comfort for the player.

The YAS-875EX is quite a clean looking alto sax, much less bristling with the additional gadgets found on other super saxes. That’s not to say it’s not well created and styled, it is just quietly unfussy. The body is up to the usual Yamaha standards of high quality and performance.

The YAS-875EX bell brace is really a two mount point design, but fairly substantial. Apparently having only two mount points increases projection and response, and most likely has nothing to do with it being a bit less expensive to create than the three mount point variety. The surface finish on the body is immaculate! The key work is as exceptional as ever. Well made and finished, as per the usual Yamaha high quality standards. Sturdy too and flexible enough to be shifted around by a repairer, but stiff enough not to go off whack when in use.

The YAS-875EX bell key spatula is of the tilting design; it is well placed and works wonderfully. yamaha yts-52. Similarly the top F front key is simple but elegant and performs well regardless of whether you prefer to roll your finger up, bend it at the knuckle or lift it.

A nice touch here is the changeable lift pin, which is effortlessly accessible and permits the player to set the opening height of the F key with ease to their personal preference. yas-23 saxaphone. The low C/Eb touch pieces are nicely sized and well placed – and nicely aligned too, so you’ll have no trouble switching back and forth. As usual, this high quality made Yamaha YAS-875EX alto saxophone will last a lifetime; give you a heap of playing enjoyment, and will sound fantastic.
