Is it wrong to use Mobil 1 synthetic grease and 3-IN-ONE oil in your trumpet?
I already did it, and it’s working amazingly!! My slide was very hard to move at the best of times, but now I can tune it much easier. And the oiled up valves are working great. The thing even sounds better.
Is it wrong, though? Will it cause complications? My brother’s band director was horrified at me… But the items, since they are used in cars, are resistant to rust and don’t gunk up (like slide grease does)… I just think it’s a good idea…
So did I mess it up, or what??
